A LESSON TO BE LEARNT
The weight gained as a result of one or more pregnancies need not be a life sentence for being overweight or even obese. Shedding those extra kilos is about time utilisation and exercising some discipline with both physical activity and what you eat. Of course the right kind of positive support and encouragement from those around you will also help.

GET ACTIVE BY DOING SOMETHING YOU LOVE
For a lot of people getting motivated to be regularly active presents a challenge. There are many things you can do to keep yourself 'honest' with physical activity and for Francis Boreland, the secret lay in doing something that she loves - horse riding. It took a while to get there but persistence is paying off. To become a better rider, Francis has also taken up Pilates and walking so there are even more dividends !

DESERT RUN FOR EVERYONE!
Living Desert Dash is on again and from this year, all participants will be on the inaugural 'Living Desert Legends' list. It's a community event for all walks of life, all age groups and all levels of fitness with distances to cover ranging from 10 to 1 kilometer. Festivities at Picton Oval from 10 am onwards. See you on Sunday March 27 !
